AnyOneCanRide – Cycling for blind people – The Netherlands

March 2020

‘AnyOneCanRide’ is a project which enables people with disabilities to experience the freedom and benefits of regularly riding a bicycle with support of buddies (carers, coaches, volunteers or friends). Over 20,000 people benefited from the project worldwide. Several countries are involved.

Loendersloot is setting up a pilot project for The Netherlands according to the ‘Anyone can ride’ SPACE-concept (Smile, Protect, Adjust, Care, Encourage). Loendersloot does so in partnership with Fietsloket Nijmegen and ‘Anyone can ride’ founder Yossi Kats. The focus of the Dutch pilot will be on people with visual impairment. The pilot will run in close association with visual impairment representation groups in The Netherlands.

Below you’ll find a video of the demonstration Yossi Kats gave at the Dutch Bicycle Centre in The Netherlands.

If you are a representative of an organisation or group in the Netherlands who can help us with the pilot project, please contact us!
